Orem--The two most recognizable college basketball players in the state in recent years could end up as teammates in the NBA Developmental League.
BYU's Lee Cummard has sent his paper work to the league office and, barring unforeseen circumstances, will open the season with the Utah Flash.
Meanwhile, ex-University of Utah star Luke Nevill has had contract discussions with the Flash.
If a deal can be finalized, Nevill will also be on the roster when the Flash open their season Nov. 27 at Tulsa.
Nevill spent most of training camp with the Cleveland Cavaliers. In four preseason games, the 7-foot-2 center averaged 2.8 points and 1.8 rebounds in 8.8 minutes.
