In the article "$750M to push tech to schools?" (Tribune, Feb 14), House Speaker Becky Lockhart is quoted as saying "If this is the vision that we have for education, if this is where we know we are headed … then we'll find the money."

Does that mean that currently our legislators' vision for education is "grossly underfunded where we spend a lot less than any other state, have the biggest class sizes with the least individual attention and some of the worst-paid teachers in the country?" Because if it weren't, we'd find the money to change it.

Oh, but we will have an iPad in the hands of every student.

How about we "find the money" and let the professional educators figure out where it's needed the most?
