The Labor Day weekend air might feel comfortable for northern Utah, but it's less than healthy.

A cold front has chilled a sunny Salt Lake City to an expected high of 76 on Sunday, followed by a high of 79 on Monday. However, as wildfire smoke blows in from northern California and Oregon, the air quality remains only moderate in Salt Lake, Tooele, Utah, Davis, Weber, Box Elder and Cache counties, according to the Utah Division of Air Quality.

"If smoke becomes thick, persons with existing heart or respiratory ailments should reduce physical exertion and outdoor activity," the division warns.

St. George, meanwhile, stays hot with a high of 96 on Sunday and 97 on Monday.
