What was an ugly weekend for Utah has blossomed into a much more upbeat week thanks to some big recruiting news.
The Utes got a commitment from California athlete Chad Hekking on Monday night, and added to the 2015 haul with two new commits on each side of the ball, according to multiple media reports.
On Tuesday afternoon, three-star 6-foot-3 Haines City, Fla., linebacker Tavon Cox made his pledge, according to Scout.com. Cox retweeted the report from his Twitter account:

— Fred Whittingham Jr. (@FWhittinghamJr) September 30, 2014Later in the day, both Scout and Rivals reported that three-star 6-foot-5 receiver Caleb Repp from Los Osos High in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., also committed. He tweeted this from his account, seeming to confirm the reports:
