In response to David Spackman’s letter to the editor (Sept. 16): When are he and other right wingers like himself going to realize that Social Security and Medicare are not entitlements? They have nothing to do with being lazy or dependent on anyone.
I’ve worked hard for a big part of my life and paid taxes into both programs for years, expecting them to be there for me when I need them.
He must be one in the top percent who will never need either.
