Letter: I’d fire all the arrogant football players who refuse to stand for the anthem

Those pompous arrogant football players who are paid 6- to 7-figure salaries to play a game have come down from their ivory towers to make a statement over Trump’s criticism by refusing to stand for the national anthem (“More than just sticking to sports,” The Tribune, Sept. 26).

They are lucky I’m not in charge, I would fire all of them.

Kudos to former BYU player Kyle Van Noy who did stand up.
