In response to the Aug. 17 Tribune report: "Seven Peruvian LDS Church members among quake dead" by Peggy Fletcher Stack, as far as the news media should be concerned, all of the more than 500 people who were killed in the Aug. 15 earthquake in Pisco, Peru, should be considered equally newsworthy.
It is outrageous for The Tribune to publish any report about one group of Peruvian earthquake victims just because of their affiliation with Utah's dominant religion.
