I feel compelled to react to Sally Ruiz's comment about her daughter's experience at Temple Square ("Temple Square rudeness," Dec. 20).

In all my experience, since coming to this country in 1965 as a non-LDS member, I enjoyed the concerts and Christmas lights on the Temple grounds and have never, ever experienced a rude word or act from the actually very friendly, accommodating staff.

Questions: How old is your daughter, and how does a typical Mormon look?
