Second verse of Utah's midweek forecast? Same as the first: thunder, lightning and rain interspersed with sunshine and gusty winds.

Along the Wasatch Front, high temperatures Thursday will be in the low-70s, a couple degrees cooler than Wednesday's forecast with both days experiencing steady breezes in the 10-20 mph range.

Southern Utahns will have daytime highs approaching 80 degrees, but Utah's Dixie still will have to endure its own isolated showers and thunderstorms and 10-20 mph winds through Thursday.

The Utah Division of Air Quality had an equal unstable forecast for the state. While the urban valleys of the Wasatch Front looked for "green," or healthy conditions, Duchesne, Uintah, Carbon and Washington counties all were graded at "yellow," or compromised air quality heading into the weekend.

The Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website rated "mulberry and mold as "high" but all other allergens were "low" on its pollen index as of Wednesday.
