PLANNED PARENTHOOD AND ABORTION-RIGHTS SUPPORTERS rally at the Capitol on Thursday to oppose anti-abortion legislation and promote alternatives, including birth control. Lawmakers are considering two versions of an abortion ban. In one, Utah would lead in challenging Roe v. Wade. The other would impose a ban only if another state successfully challenged the decision. House members approved the latter. Some would like to substitute the tougher version in the Senate.
