Man pulled over for not using blinker admits to sex with teen

A man who was pulled over by West Valley City police Monday morning for failing to use his blinker found himself under arrest after telling the officer he was having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

The 23-year-old was headed east on 3500 South about 2:40 a.m. when he was stopped, according to a booking statement. The officer noticed three girls in the vehicle and asked the driver why he was with them. He said he had a sexual relationship with one of the girls, who he thought was 16, and had sex with her four days before, the statement said.

While filling out a witness statement, the man also said he had sexual pictures of the girl on his cell phone, which police verified, according to the statement.

West Valley City police said no other information could be released because an investigation is ongoing.
