KUCW Channel 30, the only Utah television station still planning to shut off its analog signal on the original Feb. 17 deadline, announced Monday it will also extend its cutoff to June 12.

Last week, all of Utah's nine main TV broadcasters except KUCW announced they would abide by the new June government deadline to shut down their analog signals.

Congress passed legislation expected to be signed by President Obama that pushes the deadline back four months to give consumers more time to make the transition.

Matt Jaquint, general manager for KTVX Channel 4 and KUCW, said they decided to go with the same deadline as the other stations to help avoid confusion. "This way, everybody does it on the same day," he said.
