Northern Utah will enjoy pleasant weather on Saturday, followed by a cooler and possibly wetter Sunday.

The National Weather Service is predicting Saturday highs in the 80s along the Wasatch Front. Skies will be sunny in the morning but turn cloudy in most locations in the afternoon.

The temperature in Salt Lake City reached 86 degrees on Saturday, replacing Friday, with its high of 80, as the warmest day so far this year.

Lows in northern Utah are expected to be in the 40s and 50s.

On Sunday, highs will be mostly in the mid-60s to about 70, although Provo could warm up to the mid-70s, according to the weather service.

There will be a slight chance of showers on Sunday morning along the Wasatch Front and a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Lows in the 40s are predicted.

Highs in St. George and Zion National Park are expected to reach the mid 90s on Saturday and the mid 80s on Sunday.
