A Vernal boy has died 11 days after his family found him in their hot tub.

A spokeswoman for Primary Children's Hospital confirmed 16-month-old Bronx Young died Saturday morning.

On April 28, family members found Bronx in the water, unresponsive, at their home near 4000 South and 1500 West in Vernal. They pulled him from the water, began CPR and called 911.

Paramedics rushed Bronx to Ashley Regional Medical Center, from where he was flown to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City.

Uintah County sheriff's deputies said earlier that a family member had partially removed the hot tub's cover to check the water, stepped away and the toddler somehow got into the tub. The boy was found in the tub after relatives noticed him missing.

Deputies did not know exactly how long he was in the water, but said it was believed to have been a short amount of time.
