Utahns can expect warm temperatures to continue this weekend, the National Weather Service says.

Highs along the Wasatch Front could reach the 70s on Saturday and the 60s on Sunday. Many locations will have sunny skies in the morning that will become partly cloudy as the day progresses.

Overnight lows should fall to the 30s and 40s.

In southern Utah, the thermometer will reach the 80s in St. George this weekend, while lows will be in the low 50s, according to the weather service. The south central part of the state, including Kanab and Escalante, will see highs in the upper 70s to around 80 and lows in the upper 30s to around 40.

The Utah Division of Air Quality is forecasting that healthy air quality will accompany the spring weather.

Friday also was a relatively warm day in Utah, with the 68-degree high at the Utah Test Range surpassing the record 67 degrees for March 27, set in 2000.
