The Lopes had cut a 16-point deficit to one point. … Sedrick Barefield scored 26 points and Donnie Tillman added 14; each player has totaled 30 points in the tournament. … Two weeks ago, Utah lost 78-69 to Minnesota, another Big Ten team. … After Sunday’s game, the Utes will be halfway through their nonconference schedule.
