The University of Utah men’s basketball team will visit Minnesota on Nov. 12, the fourth nonconference date confirmed for the Utes’ 2018-19 schedule.

The trip to historic Williams Arena in Minneapolis will mark the Utes’ first regular-season game against a Big Ten school since facing Michigan in 2010. Nov. 12 is a Monday, six days after teams are allowed to begin the season.

The Utes will host Minnesota in the 2019-20 season as part of the agreement, both schools announced Tuesday. In 2017-18, the Gophers finished 15-17 overall and 4-14 in the Big Ten, tying for 11th place in the 14-team league. Minnesota, coached by Richard Pitino, went 11-6 at home.

Utah’s other known opponents and dates are Dec. 8 vs. BYU at Vivint Smart Home Arena, Dec. 15 at Kentucky and Dec. 29 at home vs. Nevada. The Utes also will play three games in the Wooden Legacy on Thanksgiving Weekend at Fullerton, Calif. The pairings are to be determined; the field also includes Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Hawaii, La Salle, Miami, Northwestern and Seton Hall.
