The NBA was the first major sports league to postpone its season due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was also the first league to come up with a way to give fans something watch in the meantime with its upcoming HORSE challenge that will include some current and former players from the NBA and WNBA.
One such player is Utah Jazz point guard Mike Conley. He will join the group of current players that also features Chris Paul of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks and Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls.
The former players include Paul Pierce and Chauncey Billups, while Allie Quigley of the Chicago Sky and Tamika Catchings will represent the WNBA as a current and former players, respectively.
The quarterfinal round o the HORSE challenge starts Sunday at 5 p.m. and will air on ESPN. The semifinals and championship game begin April 16 at 5 p.m.
Conley joined the Jazz via trade last offseason. In the 41 games he’s played this season, he’s averaging 13.8 points and 4.3 assists while shooting 37.6% from he 3-point line.
