The Salt Lake Bees rallied for five runs in the fifth inning and beat the host New Orleans Zephyrs 6-4 in a Pacific Coast League game on Monday night. The Bees (22-16) broke a 1-1 tie with the rally that included RBI doubles by Eric Young Jr. and Shane Robinson, and a three-run homer by Nolan Fontana.
New Orleans would chip away with a solo homer by Destin Hood, his second of the game, in the seventh and back-to-back homers by Steve Lombardozzi and Brandon Barnes to make it 6-4 before Justin Miller recorded the final four outs for his fourth save of the season. Salt Lake starter Troy Scribner (5-0) picked up the win, as he went six innings and allowed just one run on two hits with six strikeouts and one walk. Fontana led the Bees (22-16) with two hits and three runs batted in, as Salt Lake opens the road trip with a victory and has now won seven of its last nine games.
