Letter: Hatch has left his mark on the Supreme Court

(John Duricka | AP Photo) Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, questions Professor Anita Hill on Friday, Oct. 11, 1991 in Washington during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on the nomination of Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court. Sen. Alan Simpson, R-Wyo., looks on.

Sen. Orrin Hatch has recently been praised not only by President Trump but also by historians who acknowledge his unique role in sustaining all judges of the Supreme Court. Let us not forget that this group of jurists dismantled the Voting Rights Act and endowed Hatch’s GOP with Citizens United. Indeed, the Hatch Court causes the republic to submit to the will of Big Money and Big Pharma. If the Constitution were to “hang by a thread,” Patriot Hatch has done his part.
