Letter: Student astutely identified what’s wrong with our political landscape

(Scott Sommerdorf | The Salt Lake Tribune) Igor Limansky speaks in the Environmental Caucus at the Salt Lake County Democratic Convention where delegates pick their favorites for county/legislative races, Saturday, April 14, 2018.

On Sunday, Aug. 5, a recent graduate of Rowland Hall High School, Isaiah Poritz, penned a great commentary on what is wrong with our political landscape.

Poritz talks about the major problems of name-calling, refusing to listen to viewpoints of others and “you are with us or against us” mentality. He also makes some positive suggestions of getting beyond this behavior. I highly recommend you check this out at www.sltrib.com.

Isaiah, Emory University is fortunate to have you this fall. Best of luck to you!
