A Logan man has been charged with rape, aggravated sexual assault and aggravated kidnapping of a woman he met through social media — and there may be other victims.

According to Logan police, three more women have come forward since Wyatt Dean Martin, 21, was arrested on Monday. Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Louise Speth at 435-716-9491.

According to court documents, a woman began communicating with Martin on social media platforms Tinder and Snapchat, and he invited her to a party at his Logan residence on Sept. 22. She said that after arriving, she was “heavily pressured” by Martin to drink a shot of whiskey and took a small drink of what she was told was sweet tea, which she was later told contained alcohol — and that she “began to feel abnormal” and “far more intoxicated than the shot of whiskey and a small drink of the sweet tea would cause.”

According to the woman’s statement, Martin took her upstairs to his bedroom, where they started to kiss and he took off her shirt. When he tried to pick her up, “she told him no and stepped back,” at which point Martin “aggressively pushed her backwards onto the bed, knocking oxygen out of her lungs so she couldn’t breathe,” she said.

Martin then removed her clothes while she “told him to stop” and “pushed him with her legs and arms,” she said, but he “went to the closet and grabbed what she believed to be a strap and told her that if she didn’t quit moving he was going to tie her down.”

The woman told police that at that point, “she was so scared she froze and ceased fighting,” while Wyatt raped her.

On Oct. 1, the woman made a “confrontational call” to Martin from the Logan Police Department; he “told the victim that he heard her tell him she did not want to have sex.”

On Monday, Martin was arrested and booked into the Cache County jail. He faces charges of rape, aggravated sexual assault and aggravated kidnapping (first-degree felonies); possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person (a third-degree felony) and Class B misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance and use or possession of drug paraphernalia.

Martin is scheduled to appear in 1st District Court on Monday.
