Letter: All of this happened in the 1930s. And we know how that ended.

Let’s just consider for a moment:

  • Illegal deportations
  • Replacing federal employees with loyalists
  • Overtaking universities and other educational facilities
  • Book banning
  • Silencing of the press
  • Denigrating the legal system — judges, attorneys, law offices
  • Downgrading scientific research
  • Taking over other countries
  • Creating fear and anxiety over what the future holds
  • All of this happened in the 1930s. And we know how that ended.
