I recently took immense pride in my governor (JB Pritzker of Illinois) as he spoke up for our immigrants and against a lawless Trump administration.
The fine people of Utah got to see their senator make light of the killing of politicians and their spouses in Minnesota. Did that make you proud?
It’s probably safe to assume that this will be one more thing about Mike Lee that you will excuse away. Maybe you agree with Lee’s casual and joking acceptance of political violence. Maybe you actually like this since it was Democrats who were killed and wounded.
We will get a strongly worded editorial from this paper, but the fine people of Utah won’t change a single thing. Lee is safe. He knows his people. And his people know him. The people of Utah. The fine people of Utah.
