Letter: Biden is too old. Trump is too old. Can we stop this dismal state of affairs?

Our nation is facing the most dismal choice in the upcoming election.

On one hand, the Republican Party, which has abandoned all its former principles (see the numerous letters already published about Mike Lee and his pathetic groveling) to support Donald Trump, who has clearly demonstrated he doesn’t care about anyone but himself.

Then we have the Democratic Party and President Joe Biden. He is clearly too old to run again, but who in the Democratic Party will state the obvious for the good of the country? Apparently, no one.

Trump, incidentally, is also too old.

Biden and the Democratic Party could be heroes if they would just follow George Washington’s example and have Biden step aside. They could then come up with a candidate who is at least a couple of decades younger than President Biden. No one is standing up for our country; the parties only care about their own power. It’s so disheartening.
