Letter: Palestinians are wrongly presented as the aggressor

An article in the May 12 Tribune, “Palestinian rockets target Tel Aviv,” gives readers the impression that Palestine is the aggressor, when Palestine is the victim. The recent problems began when the Israeli police (IDF) entered the Al Aqsa Mosque while Palestinians were praying during the last Friday of Ramadan, and sprayed them with rubber bullets and grenades. Actually, Israel is the aggressor and retaliates to Palestinians homemade rockets with air strikes. The death toll is 10 to 1, the Palestinians suffering ten deaths to Israel’s one.

The recent problems began when Israeli right wing settlers began evicting Palestinans from their homes, in an East Jerusalem neighborhood, a form of ethnic cleansing, which is a war crime. The settlers are cleansing the neighborhood and moving into homes Palestinians have lived in for generations. The U.S. sits by and its State Department always takes the side of Israel, and the news presents Palestine as evil.
