Letter: Some perspective on COVID mortality for the unvaccinated

This undated electron microscope image made available by the U.S. National Institutes of Health in February 2020 shows the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. The sample was isolated from a patient in the U.S. (NIAID-RML via AP)

Just in case you are unvaccinated and bad with math I would like to help you understand how deadly the coronavirus really is. If it only kills one out of a hundred worldwide, then ninety nine out of one hundred may call it fake news, but 78 million people will die from it. You may wish your mother in law is among them, but if by chance your daughter or son or loving spouse or grandkids or grandparents are among the victims, you might have a different opinion.

Also, if you are a tough person without symptoms, you might be like Typhoid Mary. You might be the killer.

Why not just go get vaccinated?
