Letter: Will the Inland Port push more birds into the airport’s airspace?

Leah Hogsten | The Salt Lake Tribune A plane lands at Salt Lake City International Airport, Feb. 25, 2019.

The recent bird strike that nearly ended the Jazz team’s season has me worried: Does anyone know how the Inland Port will affect the flight patterns of migratory birds? In other words, will the infrastructure and light pollution at the Inland Port divert more birds into the Salt Lake City International Airport’s airspace?

The Jazz team was fortunate, but what if the number of migratory birds increases at the airport due to the Inland Port? Already the Inland Port plans on killing us with their mosquito spray and air pollution, so why worry about increased bird strikes at the airport?
