Letter: I’m still in shock over this election

(Susan Walsh | AP file photo) President Donald Trump listens during an event in the briefing room of the White House in Washington on Friday, Nov. 20, 2020.

After four years of name-calling, such as lib-dumb, cheating, lying, stealing, spying, Deep State Cabal, do-nothing, left-wing wackos, coming after your guns, conspiracy, child sex-traffickers that eat children, godless, socialists, etc., it is hard to believe it will end.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around that, especially in this heavily GOP state.

True to its colors, this state went red for its top positions.

Yet the very top slot went Democrat.

Does that mean the GOP can get back to legislating without fear from the executive office?

Will they now start speaking up when they see something wrong?

Will they actually start representing their constituents, rather than cowering under party loyalty?

Does this mean they will start listening?

I’m still wallowing in the thought.

Maybe things will get back to normal after this very unusual year?
