Letter: Reyes only cares when Republicans lose

(Rick Bowmer | AP file photo) Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes speaks during the Utah Republican Party convention on April 26, 2014, in Sandy, Utah. Utah's newly reelected attorney general said Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, he is taking personal leave time to help support President Donald Trump's legal challenges to election procedures. Trump has claimed without evidence that the vote is unfair and rigged.

As Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes is so concerned about election integrity in other states, why didn’t he take personal time off in 2016 to investigate potential fraud and irregularities in Wisconsin and Michigan when Donald Trump was declared the winner by smaller margins than those currently in Nevada for Joe Biden?

Does his concern for integrity only apply when Republicans lose? Apparently so.

The truth is that his meddling is an insult to Nevada election officials who are perfectly capable of managing their own elections and to his Utah constituents who have a right to expect fair play from their elected leaders and political parties.
