Letter: Put your money where your mouth is

(J. Scott Applewhite | AP file photo) Morning clouds cover Capitol Hill in Washington on April 12, 2019.

Dear political parties,

If you really want my attention, instead of spending millions on social media, newspapers, emails, texts and TV ads, try showing that you care about the American people. Imagine what a difference you could make to families sidelined by COVID. How about investing in homeless services, etc., etc.? Could you help create jobs and safer work environments?

This country is struggling and you have the nerve to harass us with demands for money that does nothing. Put your money where your mouth is — invest in the people and show us you really do want to make a difference.
