Letter: Don’t submit to the two-party system

“The most important election in the history of our country,” they said. Then they give us only two choices?

I can’t vote for Donald Trump for a variety of reasons, but mainly because of his handling of the pandemic and his lack of a plan moving forward. And he cheats at golf.

Don’t want to vote for Joe Biden because he has been receiving a paycheck signed by the American taxpayers for the last 47 years. He hasn’t earned an honest day’s wage, nor does he understand regular people’s issues (wages, economy, health care, etc.). His Green New Deal is going to cost a lot of money and it is supposed to be paid for by rich people? Yeah, let’s see how that works out.

There is another choice — the Libertarian candidate for president, Jo Jorgensen. Not a career politician, someone who understands the pandemic and health care and earning a living not paid by taxpayers.

She wants to bring American troops off foreign soil. She wants us to be like Switzerland, neutral, but strong. Want a Green Deal? How about building a bunch of nuclear power plants instead of windmills and solar plants that have to be subsidized by taxpayers?

There’s more, but you’ll need to do your own research like I did.

I am not wasting my vote. I am voting for the person that would make the better president of the United States.

David T. Lancaster, Murray
