After reading Laura Dupuy’s letter on June 30 (“Fees on carbon fuels will keep the air in Utah clean”), I almost felt hope for the future of our planet. However, the continued emphasis on “growth” around us and throughout our world states otherwise.
We can spout facts and figures on how taking specific actions against air pollution now will bring us back to crystal-clear breathable air later. Remember, though, that the power of politics and money run the world we live in, ruled by the few selfish lords as it has been throughout time.
And it will only be time until the last human belches their last carbon-coated breath. Only then will man-made pollutants cease to be created.
