Letter: Go by science, not by ‘gut feelings’

(Rick Egan | Tribune file photo) A Little League baseball game in Bountiful, Saturday, May 16, 2020.

We just lost the last two and a half months of quarantine.

We walked in Murray Park today. Playgrounds are open and outdoor exercise equipment is being used. We watched one fellow go from one piece of exercise equipment to another without sanitizing either. And lots of people are playing soccer.

We were the only ones keeping a distance, and we had to walk off the sidewalk because folks were not giving an inch.

Every candidate running for office, this year and every year, should be asked if they’ll honor science over “gut feelings” if elected and we should vote accordingly.

I’m sick of politicians making medical decisions for me and my family, especially when the science isn’t backing those decisions. It should be illegal!
