Letter: Shelter in place now

(Trent Nelson | The Salt Lake Tribune) Looking down at 400 West as Salt Lake City continues to shelter in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 on Monday, March 23, 2020.

Novel coronavirus does not know how to count. It spreads from one person to another who are close to each other.

We need a shelter-in-place order now, not a ban on gatherings of more than 10. More than one person within six feet of each other is a crowd. This is not the time for neighbors, extended families and friends to have small gatherings.

Every member of only the immediate family should stay home. Stop the spread.
