Letter: Utah lucky to have UDOT snowplows

(Al Hartmann | Tribune file photo) A UDOT snowplow works the heavy, wet snow starting to pile in Big Cottonwood Canyon during a snowstorm in November 2017.

On Thanksgiving morning, we drove from West Valley City to Wellsville in Cache Valley. I was really concerned about the weather.

As we headed out, I-15 was only wet and there was just a touch of slush on the Cache Valley side of Sardine Canyon.

I was reminded, once again, of the terrific UDOT snow plows. They work 24/7 to make sure we can reach our destinations. There are occasions when the storms make it difficult for them to keep up, but they don't stop until the job is done!

Utah is so lucky to have UDOT and the rest of the public employees working for them.

Thank you all for jobs well done.

Debra McBride, West Valley City
