Letter: Honor the fallen by holding world leaders accountable

One hundred years ago at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, an armistice was signed at Compiègne, France, that officially ended “The Great War,” “The War to End All Wars” — which it sadly failed miserably at doing, as evidenced by the devastating wars humanity has endured since then.

Perhaps the best way to honor those who died during World War I might be to hold world leaders accountable for their words, decisions and resulting consequences that place their armed forces as well as their citizenry in peril.

Col. Drew W. Browning, U.S.A.F (retired), Kaysville
