President Donald Trump ain’t dumb.
Trump’s control of the press is amazing. His negativity, lying and
insults are what the press covers.
With the recent midterm election results, Trump made sure that he controlled the press by getting rid of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, belittling the Republican House candidates who lost and attacking almost every journalist at the post-election news conference. The majority of the news coverage was about his ugly actions more than the blue wave victory for House Democrats.
Will the press stop falling for the Trump ploy? Not sure. The media are desperately trying to regain lost audiences. We’ll see.
