Contrary to what conservative Republicans say, giving more wealth to the super rich and big businesses, as was done in President Donald Trump’s and the GOP Congress' “tax reform” bill, hasn’t shown any Increase in workers’ wages, when you factor in inflation. So much for the tea party Republicans’ “trickle down” economics.
But this legislation will create a $139 billion increase in federal deficit spending in just this 2018 fiscal year, according to the Congressional Budget Office. That is kind of funny, since conservatives and Republicans have traditionally denounced such deficit increases.
Well, I guess they needed to have something to brag about going into the 2018 elections. But I wouldn't brag too much about passing a bill that goes against your core principles.
