I’m quite astonished that Salt Lake City’s annual neighborhood cleanup program not only was replaced with an inefficient program (Call 2 Haul), but was done so abruptly and apparently with little professional thought, calculating and planning.
Every year, thousands of residents and taxpayers like me have relied on the NCP to dispose of unwanted items that accumulate on our properties throughout the year.
Now, the Call 2 Haul program is predictably backlogged for months, and scheduling a pick-up now would result in having to drag the items to the curb through snow and ice. Does Salt Lake City really employ people who thought this might be a good idea?
