Letter: Mia Love should campaign on her dime, not mine

(Al Hartmann | The Salt Lake Tribune) Utah Rep. Mia Love speaks to the Salt Lake Tribune editorial board Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018.

I have written to Rep. Mia Love about the wasteful use of franking (the use of our Postal Service without having to pay). I have written to her only to get another feel-good email about what a good job she is doing.

Now someone else has brought up the same case of wasted money that actually is a taxpayer-paid campaign for her re-election.

She does not care about the money she wastes; it is not hers. She only cares about getting the word out of what a great House representative she is and to be re-elected to get that golden parachute when she quits or is voted out of office.

Mia Love, if you want to campaign, do it on your own dime, not mine.

Paul Jerominski, Salt Lake City
