Gov. Gary Herbert advocates that Utah needs more girls and young women involved in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), but the last two conferences he has sponsored — “Energy” and the recent one “Technology” — as advertised show the majority of the speakers are men and majority of awards are going to men. I find this a little oxymoronic.
So, Governor, where are the Utah professional women of STEM?
