In response to Robert Hanford’s “Coverage priorities” letter to the Public Forum, I am one of the many bridge-playing Tribune readers whom you have not yet met! I barely glance at the sports section but have never complained of sports receiving its own section on a daily basis.

These days the news is harsh and our credible news sources are shrinking. I was incredibly sad to view Pat Bagley’s political cartoon personalizing the dismissal of wonderful Tribune staff reporters. Even our public radio station, KUER, FM 90.1, has resorted to constant ads begging that we listen 24/7.

I enjoy two respites from the barrage of news: The Tribune’s bridge column and comic/puzzle page and classical music on KBYU, FM 89.1.
