What is the deal about charging us for opening wine in restaurants? Does it cost $10 to wash two wine glasses? Most restaurants don’t carry the wine I enjoy with dinner, and some of the wine does not cost that much, so I am charged twice for the same bottle that I brought in.

There have been a few times when I had to show the waiter how to open a bottle of wine and still got charged. Now with some wine bottles that come with screw caps, what skill does the waiter/waitress need to open that? What a joke.

Restaurants will do anything to make a buck.
