Commentary: Stewart’s proposal to turn parts of Grand Staircase into a national park degrades the meaning of national parks

Stewart’s proposed legislation is a blatant ploy for the state of Utah to gain control over lands that have scientific and scenic value and should remain within Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument.
