Washington • Sen. Mitt Romney has told his staff to work from home as a preventative measure as the U.S. Capitol has canceled public tours out of concern about the coronavirus.
Romney, R-Utah, will still follow his regular schedule, his spokeswomen Liz Johnson said.
While some other members of Congress have self-quarantined, Romney has not experienced any health concerns. His office said he made his decision to protect his staff as the virus has spread in the Washington area.
The Senate sergeant-at-arms has canceled public tours as of Wednesday evening, though Congress remains in session.
