(Rick Egan | Tribune file photo) Wild horses in the Onaqui wild horse herd, about 60 miles southwest of Tooele, are seen near Simpson Springs, Thursday, June 5, 2014. The BLM rounded up 241 of the Onaqui horses in September 2019 with the aim of adopting them into private homes, but a month later some fell ill with a contagious strain of equine distemper at the BLM's Delta corral. The animals have been quarantined, and a Nov. 1 adoption event has been cancelled.
