A man was shot and killed Thursday in Colorado City, the Arizona town across the state line from Hildale, Utah, according to a release from the joint police department for both towns.
Colorado City/Hildale City police, with help from Washington County’s SWAT team, later detained a suspect in Hildale, the release said.
Police in the area known as Short Creek were dispatched at 1:24 a.m. Thursday. They found a man who had been shot multiple times. The man died at the scene.
The investigation is active, the release said, so the names of the victim and the suspect have not been released.
