Park City man dies in Utah skiing accident

A 21-year-old Park City man died after a skiing accident at Park City Mountain Resort, according to police.

The man, whose name has not been released, was skiing with friends on Friday when he became separated from them, according to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.

When he did not arrive at the bottom of the slope, a search began. He was found at the bottom of a 30-foot drop.

Ski patrol and medical personnel began life-saving measures, and the victim was flown in a helicopter to a hospital. He later died there.

Police were alerted to his death when they were contacted by the state medical examiner’s office on Sunday.

Park City Mountain Resort did not immediately return a request for comment. No further details were released.
