A 61-year-old skier was fatally injured Wednesday when he ran into a snowbank at Brighton Ski Resort, FOX 13 reports.
According to police, the man was skiing with his son when snow from snow-making machines obscured his goggles and he crashed. The man suffered severe facial trauma and a critical brain injury, and he was airlifted to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to FOX 13.
Brighton Ski Resort officially opened for the season on Monday.
